Fun looks at Comme des Garcons:
I have neglected to post this collection, it become completely lost in the depths of my hard-drive. I was very excited by this collection, displaying what CDG is best known for, taking shapes and dissecting them like one would in Geometry class. Way better than A/W 08 collection…
A little Vivienne Westwood during her Pirate and Buffalo girls collections, early Katharine Hamnett, Leather, bubbles, rock and surreal prints.
The other day I wore: Vintage motorcycle jacket (I got it tailored to fit snug), free t-shirt, jumbo wool scarf, 3 year old faded black jeans (I actually really hate these, I wear them almost everyday, I am sure they are full of germs, I can never find jeans I like …) Dollar store socks and Comme Des Garcons Shoes. They are from a 1996 collection.
I kinda just pulled out a bunch of random stuff from my closet, because I was in a hurry.
These days, I am carrying a Head-Porter Boston bag. Its a great size, holds all my stuff, with lots of compartments, a spot for my umbrella and its water-proof. A utilitarian bag is a key element of my wardrobe, this has been going in for like five years. If only I could find a good one in Leather?
Matilda sneaked into the picture, she can fit in my bag, if she wishes.
In my bag: Vintage Lanctot sunglasses and case, comme des garcons wallet, green tea bags, ipod and rosebud balm. I was carrying a light load today. Missing from picture: Camera, note book, pens, current reading material.
Elements of Greek Soldiers, bike couriers (note the male leggings) and Edwardian. I would wear almost every single piece in this collection. Besides all the black, I really like the male skirts, we haven’t seen many of them, since the hay-day of grunge? No?
