Possum Trot: The Life and Work of Calvin Black, 1903-1972

“Calvin Black was a folk artist who lived in California’s Mojave Desert and created more than 80 life-size female dolls, each with its own personality, function, and costume.
Possum Trot is part of the “Visions of Paradise” series on contemporary folk artists directed and produced by Irving Saraf and Allie Light.”
Filmed in 1977
Tokyo Pop (1988)
Tokyo Pop is one of my favorite movies of my teen hood. The story is about a new-wave-comme-punk bleached blond Wendy, who moves to Tokyo to try to make it as a “rock star”. She then falls in love with a Japanese rocker boy and they become pop stars. There are some great fashions (Wendy’s outfits pretty much rule) and scenery of Tokyo, to top it off X-japan has a cameo. Overall its a fun movie and feeds my obsession with 1980s Japan.
I can’t find a DVD copy of this movie or a torrent. If you have any information how to get a hold, please pass it along. I’d even love a VHS copy. Thus, is why there are no screen shots in this post.
