Junya Watanabe A/W 08 (mens)
March 3, 2008I wasn’t “wowed” by this collection, I found it quite subtle, yet easy to wear. This collection reminded me of a wardrobe for a tilted adaptation of a Bret Easton Ellis novel. It however was based on the historical stock exchange La Bourse, perhaps that’s why we see banker stripe shirts? Of course Junya uses elements of Americana, such as baseball jacket sleeves and college ties.

Its nice to see pieces that work on all types of different men, oppose to the usual menswear waif.
